I'm Daniyal Umer.I build institutions.

One person, many crafts. The throughline: I move early, build with technology, and turn new ideas into things that last.

What I do

Not one job. A whole studio of one.

01
Institution building
Took a 70-year arts council from paper to a fully digital organization. The work that made the title.

Proof, not adjectives

Twelve years of building.

First
Brought social media in 2014, then AI years later, to a 70-year institution. Early both times, before anyone was convinced.
Worldwide
The online presence I started carried a local arts institution to audiences around the world.
Live
A full ERP runs the institution's finance, procurement and HR. Real money, in production, not a pilot.
Built
IT, networks, cloud and member systems: built from zero, in-house, then handed over.

These are receipts, not promises. The work is in production right now, and a single org-wide dashboard goes live this year.

The things I've actually shipped.

AI · early
AI in the building, before anyone asked
Brought AI into the institution's work the same way I brought social media years earlier: early, in-house, ahead of the curve.

Reach
A 70-year institution, taken global
Started its first social presence in 2014 when nobody believed in it. Today it reaches audiences around the world.
Globalfrom a standing start
Flagship · ERP
The ERP nobody believed an arts council could run
A 70-year-old nonprofit moved its entire money flow out of spreadsheets into an in-house system. Multi-step approvals, payroll bridges, a real audit trail. Live today.

Identity
The whole membership, paper to biometric
Decades of paper records became one centralized, biometric-backed identity system with secure file storage. Every member, one source of truth.
Onesource of truth
Cloud
From one legacy server to the cloud
Member files, photos and biometrics moved to hardened private storage with zero downtime. Nobody noticed, which was the point.

Governance
The NPO status donors can actually claim
PCP certification, FBR approval and a full tax-credit pathway that turns sponsorship into smart finance for donors.

Google for Nonprofits
Google's enterprise stack, unlocked for a nonprofit
Brought the institution into Google for Nonprofits, working directly with Google's team: enterprise email and collaboration, 100 TB of cloud storage, and a $10,000/month in-kind Google Ad Grant. Big-tech infrastructure, at no cost, and it renews every month.

The festivals

Culture, at national scale.

Every one of these was built and executed end to end: concept, production, media, technical direction and digital presence. The same hands that write the code run the show floor.

The studio

What I make when nobody assigns it.

Who I am

Builder first. Title second.

"Find the gap nobody can fill. Learn it, build it, train someone, hand it over. Then find the next gap."

I'm Daniyal Umer, a builder by instinct and a creative one too. Wherever I land, I bring technology and a bias for doing things in new ways. The same drive runs through very different work: digital systems and infrastructure, national festivals, design and creative direction, content, music, and an events company. Some of it comes with a title. Most of it I started simply because I wanted it to exist.

ACPKHI (Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi) is my biggest chapter. In 2014 I brought it onto social media when nobody there believed in it, and that first online presence carried a 70-year institution to audiences around the world. I built its entire technology stack from the ground up: the IT department, the network and security backbone, cloud infrastructure on AWS, an ERP that runs the institution's finances, and a biometric identity system for every member. Years later I brought in AI the same way, again before anyone was convinced. The work grew me into its Executive Director, but the title came out of the building, not the other way around.

And the journey has only just begun. The same hands shape Morons, Moosic, Pro Planners and the creative work that ties everything together, and the biggest milestones are still ahead.
